The topic of my master thesis is "The Immigration Study on Xingning Hakka Ethnic Group during Ming and Qing Dynasties". This study focuses on the social production, life and the population migration of Xingning during Ming and Qing Dynasties.Xingning, located in the mountainous east of Guangdong, put importance in developing agriculture, industry and business. This paper introduces the living situation of Xingning Hakka from the aspect of agriculture, handicraft industry and business during Ming and Qing Dynasties.The Ming and Qing Dynasties is the period that most Hakka migrated. Tens of thousands of Hakka people moved to Sichuan, Guangxi, Taiwan and Southeast Asia, at the same time, Xingning Hakka had taken the pace of migration too. This paper describes how and why Xingning people migrated and where did them migrate to in the view of different living models.
