After the nightmare that the movie industry in Taiwan is dead, the blossoming has come from2005.In2006, the movie island acheived brilliant success which encouraged the people and the movie industry in Taiwan. Then, in2008,the cape no.7erected a significant milestone in box office. It was not only popular with the domestic and international audience, but also promoted the development of local tourism. From then on, the movie industry in Taiwan is rocketing and attracts attention all over the world.From2005to2009, focusing on this five years’ development of movie in Taiwan, this article aims at the analysis of the increasingly obvious localism in recent years as well as the feature and significance of this tendency on the background of economic globalization. This article consists of four parts, which are the tragedy in city and the warmth in country, the display of history and the reality, the cultural conflicts and coordination as well as the prospect of movie in Taiwan.
