Study Of Cultural Development In Rural Areas Of Yuncheng Shanxi

With the rapid development of China’s economic and social prosperity, the food and clothing problem for rural peasants has been well resolved since reform and opening-up. However, the development of rural culture is relatively slow, and the cultural life of the peasants is relatively poor, which not only impact on the overall living standards improvement of rural peasants, but also affect the overall process of building a harmonious socialist society. Reports of the Party Congress push forward to promoting great development of socialist culture and improving the construction of socialist culture power. It said that it is necessary to adhere to the grassroots-oriented and serving the people, focus on accelerating cultural projects that benefit, increase efforts in helping cultural construction in rural and less developed regions, and continue to promote the public cultural service facilities open to the public for free. To strengthen the construction of rural culture and promote the development of the rural culture are, not only fit for the trend of the rural society moving to the modern, but also an important part of building a harmonious rural society; not only the fundamental way to improve the scientific and cultural quality of farmers, but also the basic condition for development of countryside and even the entire society.Yuncheng in Shanxi Province is located at the junction of three provinces which are Shanxi, Shaanxi, and Henan, the gold position of the Yellow River golden triangle economic circle. The city governs1district,2cities,10counties,146townships (office), and3338administrative villages. There are3.51million rural people, accounting for71%of the total population of Yuncheng. The total arable land is8.773million acres including2.15acres of arable land per capita of agricultural population. With the continuous development and progress of the economic and social, spiritual and cultural needs of the farmers in Yuncheng City is also increasing which faced with a single structure of cultural development in rural areas, backward system, the monotony of life of the peasant culture, and the culture gap etc.Therefore, the main purpose of this study is deeply understanding the current situation of the cultural life of the masses of peasants in rural areas of Yuncheng City of Shanxi Province, analyzing and solving problems encountered in the development of rural culture in the region to further strengthen the rural cultural construction of Yuncheng City, and enrich farmers the spiritual and cultural life.
