The Research On The Characteristics Of Jing Nong’s Plum Hybrid Album

The art style forming of JingNong’s plum hybrid album is a model of innovation for hiswork of paintings. The idea of this thesis came from the thinking on the special background ofJingNong’s late works, moved on to the detailed analysis of his artistic style and the aestheticfeatures; upon the compressive study, the author came to realize that the art style ofJingNong’s hybrid plum album added more novel aesthetic features as compared with hisother works. The author summarized these aesthetic features as follows: a. New and variedforms of composition, innovation paradigm of traditional painting tricks. b. Imitating moderngraphic design shape, emphasizing on the awareness of graphic design structure, weakeningthe application of traditional pen and ink shape in painting. The JingNong plum hybrid albumhas formed aesthetic features that it excels itself from the ancient and moves onward to thebalance of the aesthetics and realism; it sticks to the original form while focusing on itsgenuine features, it removes the vulgar taste and concentrates on refining the novelness. It isthe influence of time and background in which JingNong stands that pushed him in seekinghis self-reshaping and self-value through artistic channels, which provided a reference valueto the development of Chinese freehand painting since the18th century.This study aims to explore the characteristics and the aesthetic features of JingNong’splum hybrid album. It carries out not only the conclusive analysis on the style and features ofJingNong’s albums in different times, but it also adopts the theories of artistic psychology,aesthetics, sociology in exposing the time, necessity and the advancement of the artisticstyles of the albums. It is the authors wish to examine the characteristic development ofpainting style in its own time, while in the meantime, the author wishes to waken the currentfreehand creation direction and context, thus standing on the practical experience, the authorwill summed up with his own way of painting.
