On The Timbre Changes In Chinese Folk Music

This thesis is mainly discussed through the analysis on the classic instances intimbre changes, enumerated the ways of timbre changes, summarized the deepfeelings in my own solo concert, and further drawn a conclusion that the character ofmusic works could be depicted in vivid with rich affection when the timbre waschanged flexibly along with the content of the music works and emotion of thecharacters based on the full understanding of the connotation, grasp the characters’emotions accurately, as well as using scientific vocal skills flexibly.In chapter I,combined with the successful examples of the famous, discussed the timbre changesin the characterization of the figures, emotional expression, as well as theinterpretation in different style. In chapter II, taking the repertoire in my own soloconcert for instance, analyzed the timbre changes for different vocal methods. Inchapter III, analysis on the Mulan Joins the Army from characterization of the figures,emotional expression, to discuss how to interpretation and express the emotion ofthe work better through the timbre changes to build such an immortal character.
