The Shudy Of The Semantics And Discourse Function Of "Chengran"

“Chengran” is a very important word in written language of modern Chinese.But until now, there are less researches about “chengran”,and about which part ofspeech it belongs to, different scholars have different opinions. So in this paper, wewill use some theories of text linguistics to research “chengran” and some sentenceswhich contain “chengran”.This paper, through the description and comparison, carries out the specificinspection in semantic features, pragmatic aspects of performance and discourseabout “chengran”, semantic features about the sentences which contain “chengran”.So that it can use its features in actual conduct detailed in-depth study. The wholepaper is divided into6chapters, main contents are as below.The first chapter is about why I choose this topic, the research status andproblems, what theory we will use and where the corpus comes from.The second chapter is about the definition of “chengran”. We discusswhether it is an adverb or a conjunction, it’s the premise of this paper.The third chapter is about the semantic analysis of “chengran” and thesentences which contain “chengran”. We also inspect the syntactic distribution of“chengran” and make the statistic about the appearance frequency of “chengran” ineach kind of sentence category. Then we summarize the semantic feature of “chengran”, analyze the semantic structure model and the logical connection amongthe semantic items about the sentences which include “chengran”.The fourth chapter mainly analyze the appearance, methods of conjunction,summarize the language environment and restraint of “chengran” in the text. And itinspects “chengran” by using what kind of ways to connect the sentences in the textlinguistic.The fifth chapter is about the pragmatic characters of “chengran”, whichincludes stylistic distribution and pragmatic function.The sixth chapter is the conclusion of the whole paper.
