Peng Shi’s Political Accomplishments During The Period Of Tianshun And The Early Stage Of Chenghua In Ming Dynasty

During the period of Tianshun and Chenghua,Peng Shi was the excellent representative of the cabinet officials.In order to solve various social problems in the middle of Ming Dynasty,he suggested that the emperor should carry on political reforms and mitigate social contradictions etc.His main suggestions were adopted and the effect was obvious.Due to the joint efforts of Peng Shi and other cabinet officials,the political situation of Ming Dynasty was more stable.Thus it is Very important to study on Peng Shi’s political activities for researching the political history of Ming Dynasty,especially the political situation of Tianshun and Chenghua years.Base on a lot of documents such as Ming Shilu,collections of essays and notes etc,This article researches Peng Shi’s political accomplishments and roles on the political situation of Tianshun and Chenghua.It is mainly divided into three parts:The first part,introduces Peng Shi’s life and his political career; The second part, generalizes Peng Shi’s political accomplishments from four aspects;The third part,evaluate Peng Shi’s roles on the political situation of Tianshun and Chenghua.
