Yan Geling is one of the most popular oversea Chinese female writer. The reason that makes her successful in writing is that she fused nationality awareness with experience of her gender and the experience of daily life, and through which she express women’s human caring in specific social and historical context.In her novel creation, through multiple narrative perspectives, Yan Geling successfully expressed the blind spots of the beauty in human nature, and she especially focused on the edge of the dilemma of human beauty, and multi-angle showed the hardships of the objective environment and the complexity of human nature. Thirdly, through the myth and sing some features and functions of the women, the women confined to a particular field, which restricts the development of women."Marginalized female character" here refers to double edges of the female characters:spirit and life. Firstly, women are considered as weak ones, losers. In the political change through out the history, their femininity is often distorted alienation. Through all-rounded displaying of the characters’inner hearts and their fates, Yan Geling explored the deepest values of humanity. Thus, she was praised by critics as one of the representatives of the new generation of immigrant writers with features of "can deeply explore human nature and can sophisticatedly write". The second aspect is that Yan Geling brought Chinese literature a new way of narration and a new horizon."Double space-time narratives" was unique in her writing, which combined oriental narrative theory and western narrative skills together and explained from many aspects about the writers about immigration trauma, ethnic stereotypes, cultural conflict, women’thinking of survival."Double visions" refers to the individual values about history which had been long-term-stayed in the dominating position.
