The calendar is a history book hanging on the wall.Huge changes occur in Chinese society during the60years from1949to2009, what is reflected in the calendars. The social development is rapidly, the span of time is long, and the causes of social evolution are complex. The calendars also change a lot, from luxury gift to ordinary commodity, it is not a simple change of goods, but is closely linked with the development of Chinese society. The calenders are close contacted to social relations, which provides a window to understand Chinese society. In the existing research, most of the articles on Chinese calendar are the forms of reflections, memories, or market analysis research in the field of economics. I still don’t find systematic writings which take the calendar as a social phenomenon.
