Research On Problem Of Road Engineers’ Environmental Ethical Responsibility

With the rapid economic development and technological advances， the road constructionushered in a golden period of development. AT end of2012， China has built a total mileage of1.4million kilometers of road passenger transport volume reached423.75billion passengers，freight volume reached355.7billion tons kilometers．Road works make great convenience topeople’s lives and become an important criterion for the development of social civilization. Atthe same time， the environmental problems caused by road construction is becomingincreasingly serious. Road engineers as road engineers as the central figure of the roadengineering activities play an important role in engineering design， implementation， andmanagement can not shirk its responsibility to the environment. In this paper， research theproblem of road engineers environment ethical responsibility has a very practicalsignificance.This paper mainly discusses four aspects:the formation，current situation，content andways of environmental ethical responsibility of road engineers. It discusses the sustainabledevelopment theory of environmental ethics， circular economy theory， ecological designtheory and ecological aesthetics theory as theoretical basis， road engineering objectivity，initiative of road engineers and technology applications subjectivity as realistic basis. Thispaper demonstrates why environmental ethical responsibility of road engineers exists and howit exists. Combined with China’s actual situation， analyze the impact of road engineersactivities on the environment， and to explore the reasons for their lack of their environmentalresponsibility. This paper argues the connotation of the environmental ethical responsibility ofroad engineers， including five aspects: maintaining of environmental justice and protecting ofthose affected environmental rights， minimize destruction of animal diversity，maximizethe maintenance of the balance of ecosystems， walking the road of land resource-savingdesign and promoting of environmentally friendly new technologies and new materials. At last，this article explored three ways to achieve environmental ethical responsibility of roadengineers: the first is establishing environmental ethical self-discipline mechanism，thesecond is Improving the environmental ethics education mechanism， the last one isstrengthening external oversight mechanisms.
