This paper mainly uses comparative method, statistical method, inductivemethod, descriptive research method, and comprehensive comparison of thesimilarities and differences between the Chinese figure of speech and the dictionary ofChinese rhetoric figures.We are analysis the causes of the differences and discuss therelated theories of speech.Research shows that there are large differences in the style and rhetoricdictionary entries, such as connotation, category, name. the Chinese figure of speechreceived a total of434items, the dictionary of Chinese rhetoric figures received atotal of287items. Appreciations of the same names in two dictionary are165species,but only42kinds of definition are exactly the same, the others’ definition of speechare differences. The figures who have the same name and the finition are127, Thefigures who have the same name but the finition do not are44. The figures who havenot the same name but the same finition are10. The figures who have the same secondname are15kinds. There are great disparities in the first class of the comparison ofthe number. The Chinese figure of speech received203items, the dictionary ofChinese rhetoric figures received51items. Among them,there are only19kinds whohave the same name. there is no one who have the same level of speech. The nextclass and the first class sometimes are in mixed. There are7kinds of speech in theChinese figure of speech who are next class, but in the dictionary of Chinese rhetoricfigures are the first class. There are a total of11kinds of speech in the Chinese figureof speech who are next class, but in the dictionary of Chinese rhetoric figures are thefirst class. The classification criteria of the class also has big difference. There areonly2kinds of first class who have the same classification criteria. Examples alsodifferent, there are10kinds of speech who have the same name and definition, but incase there are differences. There are24kinds of speech whose examples andconnotation is not corresponding and there are20examples belong to different appreciations. |
