These years the sub-health status of psychology among the public servants from time to time be found in the reports, The related government agencies and social groups also pay more and more attention to the physical and mental health of the public servants. And as a special group in the system of public servants, due to the specific characteristic of their jobs and working environment, the health status of the correctional officers are remarkable. Therefore, on the basis of literature review, choosing correctional officers as subjects, the study is trying to give a description of the overall level and characteristics of Regulatory Emotional Self-efficacy, Coping Style and Job Burnout, besides, the study also exploring the relationships and function mechanism of those three factors, hoping it will benefit the related research, and the results can provide certain effective guidance and advice to the routine work of the correctional officers.Exploring Chinese version of Regulatory Emotional Self-efficacy Scale(RES),Coping Style Questionnaire(CSQ) and Chinese version of Maslach Burnout Inventory General Survey(MBI-GS), the study investigated334correctional officers who are respectively from Nanchang, Jiangxi province and Shanghai, all the valid data were analysed by SPSS18.0and Amos20.0. Using Confirmatory Factor Analysis(CFA)to check the construct validity of RES; T-Test and Analysis of Variance(ANOVA) for differences inspection between factors; Regression analysis for predictive value test of independent factors to dependent factor, and adjustment function analysis between factors; and construct a effect pathway between variables according to the data analysis. The main results are as follows:1) RES is suitable for doing research in the group of correctional officers;2) Gender, age, years of working, education background and marital status prominently exert influence on degree of RES in one or multi-dimensions while what grades of correctional officers are in charge of do not;3) the coping styles to the correctional officers are generally good, when confronted with problems, they prefer to adopt mature ways such as problem solving and seeking help to mixed and immature ways such as rationalization, self-accusation and autistic thinking to solve problems;4) correctional officers have a moderate level of job burnout, specifically, with a medium level of emotional exhaustion and depersonalization, but a relatively high level of personal accomplishment;5) Regulatory emotional self-efficacy is negatively related to job burnout and immature coping styles but positively related to mature coping styles, job burnout is negatively related to mature coping styles but positively related to immature coping styles;6) Regulatory emotional self-efficacy and mature coping styles are great negative predictors for job burnout which can respectively accounts for10.8%and15.4%of the variance variation of job burnout; immature coping styles are positive predictors for job burnout which accounts for6%of the variance variation of job burnout;7) Regulatory emotional self-efficacy plays a regulatory part in the process that coping styles influence job burnout, it has a buffering function on mixed and immature coping styles which eventually make job burnout eased.
