The new century sees the flourishing reading promotion for children and surging of various recommended booklists. The recommended booklists which are closely related to the essential aim of children’s reading promotion, are now studied shallowly and disorderedly, and need specialized study in the purpose to supply consultation for the positive development of children’s reading promotion activities and build a book-loving society.In the thesis, literature and data researching method is applied to comb through and review thoroughly the major recommended booklists of children’s reading promotion in various conditions and fields during this century. Thus the most popular and powerful booklist samples are selected, and have experienced the data analysis, overall quantitative statistics and empirical analysis to understand their universality and particularity and the possible reasons of their popularity are also analyzed. In addition, the basic reading list of Chinese primary school students is sampled to investigate the draft and popularization of the recommended booklists of children’s reading promotion, the relation between the booklists and factors of children’s reading promotion system are also probed in order to summarize the regular pattern and general tendency.Finally the thesis draws the conclusion that many institutions are contending in the choosing of what books and which type of books to read and how to define the age ranges of reading, and summarizes their integration, three-dimension as well as diversification features in booklist drafting and disseminating. Therefore, in order to cultivate a society-friendly environment for the first-class recommended booklist drafting and promoting of children’s reading, our authorities will play a leading role along with our society’s cooperation.
