Epicurus was a controversial philosopher in ancient Greece. He was highly concern about how to live a better life. He considered that principal goodness can remove painfulness and increase happiness. Epicurus pursued for happiness which from feeling nature, so he suggested his followers’ life would be ordinary and meditated. Some argued that he was a hedonist, others hold that he was a garden philosopher who pursued for happiness, anyway there are disputations about him always. His doctrine about happy and analysis of desire effect Greek profoundly at the time, and then attract many followers later. The work of combing points upon Epicurus pleasure and desire in text acknowledge clearly what is Epicurus happy and why Epicurus think the highest happiness is the soul in no troubles. Undoubtedly, it is very meaningful to mention Epicurus simple happiness again, in such a materialistic circumstance and society which enlarge desire for power and selfish, along with ongoing corruption. How to face these desultorily desire when internet, hall, modern women’s open sexual orientation and high consummated goods seduce human fragile irrational desire every moment. Epicurus’view of happiness and desire offer a good answer for that.
