【Purpose】Excessive hepatectomy often causes fatal liver failure. The reason of fatal liver failure is possiblyrelated to obstacle regeneration of residual liver. The obstacle of regeneration of residual liver is related toincurring too much high perfusion pressure. The mechanism is not completly clear. This problem puzzles fieldsof liver surgery for long-term.The former studing lacks of evaluation.,espcial the evaluation of regeneration ofresidual liver after excessive hepatectomy. We get ready the rat model of excessive hepatectomy, theInquiry of the effect of blood flow limitation of portal vein and adding the Danshen (injection client) to the big ratsdamaged residual liver at earlier period after the maximal limit (90%)hepatectomy.【Method】60 male SD ratsare weighed and are divided into three groups randomly before operation.Every group has 20 rats. The first group:90%lobectomy of liver(control group A).The second group: 90% lobectomy of liver and blood flow limitation ofportal vein about 30%(the group of blood flow limitation of portal vein B).The third group: 90% lobectomy ofliver and blood flow limitation of portal vein about 30%,danshen injection (equivalency 1.5g danshen/ml) 2.0g/kg is injected from vena caudalis ((danshen C). Establish the maximal limit(90%) hepatectomal modelof the big rats as accordance with Gaub’s pattern; respectively observe the mortality of the hepatectomal rats byblood flow limitation of the portal vein and by adding use of Danshen, and observe the change of the cells at thecentral vein and at the general precinct of the HE stained residual liver and serological biochemical change afterthe hepatectomy.【Result】blood flow limitation of portal vein can release the damage to the residual liver at theearlier period after the maximal limit hepatectomy; adding use of Danshen can further release the damage, but bothof them can not improve the mortality of the experimental animal.【Conclusion】blood flow limitation of portalvein can release the damage to the residual liver at the earlier period after the maximal limit hepatectomy; addinguse of Danshen can further release the damage, but can not cause the switch of regeneration of residual liver cellsand the survival extension of the animal also.
