Medical thermal imaging technology developed in recent years is asafe, no medical imaging infrared radiation damage of the newtechnology. The technique first by infrared thermal imaging processto obtain the distribution of the temperature of the body surface,and then apply the Pennes bio heat transfer theory and model, thetemperature distribution of body surface, the heat source in depth,intensity, shape and layer by layer heat distribution ofquantitative information, find the body heat distribution, so asto reflect the metabolic state of the body cells the.Hegu acupoints for treatment of orofacial disease, has significantcurative effect, Ming Dynasty summed up as "the face of mouth andclose". However, modern medicine has not yet been found, can bedirectly observed connection between orofacial and Hegu, what pointHegu acupuncture in the treatment of how to play the role, therehas been no clear explanation and scientific basis. In order toexplore between Hegu and orofacial contact, through the medicalthermal imaging technology was used to study the changes of facialacupoints metabolic intensity value before and after acupunctureat Hegu, and as the subject "new method of thermal tomography for reference of" theory of main and collateral channels andacupuncture and moxibustion mechanism to carry out the next step.Objective: Distribution of health human facial acupunctureacupoints metabolic intensity value, and changes in healthy humanfacial acupoints Hegu acupuncture metabolic intensity value ofbilateral posterior situation, provide a scientific basis forbetween Hegu and orofacial contact.Methods: From the class of2011university students in HubeiUniversity of traditional Chinese Medicine College of acupuncturegroup and45healthy volunteers, acupuncture before and afteracupuncture at Hegu bilateral facial infrared thermal image werecollected, in the process of collecting two frame image before andafter the interval of5minutes,30minutes of continuousacquisition. Image acquisition is completed, use paired sample ttest and the results were analyzed, and the infrared thermal imageof two frame and the absolute value of metabolic intensitydifference full frame analysis.Results:(1) in healthy human facial acupoints metabolic intensityvalues up to save the bamboo, the average is0.71±0.23W,metabolic intensity minimum is Quanliao; namesake acupoints aroundmetabolic intensity difference is small, no statisticalsignificance.(2) acupuncture bilateral Hegu, healthy human facialacupoints metabolic intensity value to rise, which increases themaximum K,0.35W is the average rise; Yang white point increase inminimum, an average increase of0.08W.Conclusion:(1) in healthy people with facial acupoints aroundmetabolic intensity value symmetry (2) acupuncture bilateral Hegu,metabolic intensity health facial acupoints acupuncture before the value is increased, especially with the lips around increasedsignificantly, and the large intestine meridian of hand Yangmingin head and facial shape phase turbulent, provide some thescientific basis for the inquiry between Hegu and orofacialcontact.
