Objective:In order to explore a sensitive, accurate and high specificity of detection method, the biological characteristics of Human epididymal protein4(HE4) and carbohydrate antigen125(CA125) and its clinical significance in the diagnosis of ovarian cancer were studied, transabdominal ultrasound and transvaginal ultrasound examination were also carried on at the same time. The correlation and sensitivity analysis of serum tumor markers detection and ultrasonic image were also investigated to provide scientific basis for improving the early diagnosis of ovarian cancer.Methods:161patients who with ovarian placeholder had complete clinical data and the histopathological diagnosis were collected in Shanxi Province tumor hospital of department of gynaecology from January2008to June2008, there were75cases with benign tumors and86cases with malignant tumor,150cases in the health control group, The electrochemical luminescence method and enzyme-linked immunosorbent method were applied to detect the serum HE4and CA125levels in the three groups, at the same time, ultrasonic images were gathered, and scored according to the image features. SPSS13.0software was used for all statistical analyses. The significance level was set at0.05.Results:Serum CA125positive rate was91.9%in86cases ovarian cancer patients, and HE4positive rate was59.3%, which were significantly higher than the positive rate46.7%and4.0%in the75patients with ovarian benign lesions, with the CA125comparison of ovarian malignant group in every stage, no statistical difference between every stage (P>0.05); HE4levels in every stage, there were significant differences between stage Ⅰ,Ⅱ and stage Ⅲ, Ⅳ(P<0.05).The results suggested that serum HE4and CA125detection can provide important information in the early diagnosis of patients with ovarian disease. Abdominal ultrasound and TRUS in ovarian cancer group score value was4.89±1.64, the sensitivity was69.7%, which were significantly higher than that of ovarian benign lesion group and health control group (P< 0.05). HE4,CA125, ultrasonic score and combined sensitivity were75.2%,96.2%,67.9%and75.2%respectively, the specificity were85.1%,66.7%,61.3%and66.7%respectively, Sensitivity and specificity of combined detection were significantly higher than that of single detection, the difference was statistically significant.(P<0.05).Conclusions:The sensitivity and specificity of Serum HE4, CA125joint detection is obvious higher than that of each individual detection. There were significant differences in serum HE4levels in ovarian cancer staging, and combined the CA125detection could provide important basis for ovarian cancer early diagnosis. The specificity and sensitivity of ovarian cancer combined detection was obviously higher than that of ultrasonic single examination. Serum HE4, CA125and ultrasonic inspection joint detection can not only significantly improve the positive rate of ovarian cancer detection and sensitivity, and also provide effective clinical basis for early diagnosis of ovarian cancer.
