Objectives:Searching the literature comprehensively, give a systematic review of the implementation of continuity of care of preterm children intervention effects on growth and development, provide a scientific basis for the implementation of continuity of nursing care intervention in preterm children in the future, providing evidence for the validity of evidence-based health decisions.Methods:Cochrane Handbook for Systematic Reviews of Interventions was followed. With strictly designed search strategies, published literatures were searched through PubMed, ScienceDirect (Elsevier Science), Web of Science (SCI), CNKI, VIP, Wan Fang database. The end search period was restricted to2013. The literatures of randomized controlled trials (RCT) orquasi-RCT on the effectiveness of transitional care were selected. All the studies were selected according to the inclusion criteria. Reference lists from included studies were also examined. The Cochrane Handbook was used to assess the qualit of those included studies.Result:1. At the first step, six hundred and seventy-four articles were found after a thorough literature search. 2. Fifteen studies were included in this systematic review. Most included studies were Grade3. Transitional care for stroke patients:Continuing care is an important method to ensure safety of premature infants and improve their quality of life. Providing comprehensive and continuing care for premature infants is a new trend for social development and human survival. Continuing care extends the scope of nursing and plays an important role in the health care of premature infants. It is helpful to increase parents’ health-related knowledge, improve infants’quality of life and increase the happiness index of the whole family. This article reviews the concept and connotation of continuing care andfactors that influence the development of premature infants, aiming to provide implications for health care providers of premature infants to establish continuing care service model that is suitable for the situation of our country.Conclusions:1.Continuous care has been paid extensive attention. The number of relative studies has increased obviously since2005.2.Most included studies were Grade B.Studies were with middle risk of bias. The sample size of included studies was small and with weak representation compared the existing cases.3.Continuous care can promote the growth of premature children.4.Continuous care in favor of growth and development in preterm children5.Continuous care isanew nursing model which can adapt to the social and economic development need.Weshould fullyutilize the current positive conditions and exert own advantages to develop ourselves transitional care model.
