| Maianthemum bicolor (Nakai) Cubey is China’s new record species first discovered in2009, and only in local news reports without relevant professional literature reports. We also collected this species at an altitude of1100meters in2009, from Mont. Baijifeng national forest park, Tonghua, Jilin province, and identified it via professional appraisal as Maianthemum bicolor (Nakai) Cubey. In2013we recollected the species, and selected two close species---Maianthemum japonicum A. Gray and Maianthemum bifolium (L) F. W. Schmidt as the common experiment materials to carry out a series of related research study. This three species all belong to Maianthemum F. H. Wiggers sensu lato, Liliaceae. Species of Maianthemum F. H. Wiggers sensu lato are widely distributed in our country, with high edible value and medicinal value, and rich in resources. Rhizomes generally used as traditional Chinese medicine in the folk of our country. Plant contains important biological active substance-steroidal saponins. Since this kind of compounds have a wide range of biological activities, such as anti-inflammatory, anti-fungal, anti-cancer, decrease blood sugar, and the glycosides yuan is also a synthetic steroid contraceptive and hormone drugs raw material, domestic and foreign scholars have tried their best to find resources. However, they have not been effectively studied, protected, discovered or utilized. Research domestic and abroad usually concentrate on their botanical characteristics, resources distribution, chemical composition, pharmacological study, the organization structure research are limitied. M. bicolor, M, japonicum and M. bifolium from Tonghua Baiji peak were used as experimental materials. Using Fine structure morphology and anatomy study, paraffin section and scanning electron microscopy (sem) technology and method, we systematically studied the morphological structure and classification of the three species, and further discuss the controversy over the combination of the two genera(Maianthemum F. H. Wiggers sensu stricto and Smilacina Desf.). The comparative study on morphology and taxonomy of the three species are important evidence for their system status. The main research conclusions are summarized as follows:1.Through morphology, fine structure morphology and anatomy, organizational structure, pollen electron microscopy and field acquisition environment study, to further determine Maianthemum bicolor (Nakai) Cubey is China’s new record species and support it as independent nature.2.Quantitative taxonomy study of the three species have shown that M. japonicum and M. bicolor have close genetic relationship.3.The two genera(Maianthemum F. H. Wiggers sensu stricto and Smilacina Desf.) should be combined based on comprehensive research results. |
