| Objective: To compare the advantages and disadvantages between theMinimally invasive Surgery and Conventional open excision for women withbenign breast tumor This research had been performed on203patients withbenign breast tumors at Guangxi Oncology Medical University Hospital fromJanuary,2012to October,2013.The patients were divided into two groups, the first group including95patients who were treated by Minimally invasive Surgery, the second groupwith108patients treated by conventional open excisional surgery. We compareeach group of patients regarding the operative time, healing time, incisionlength, size and surgical scars. Results: After the surgery, the lesions (tumours) of the2groups werecompletely removed (Ultrasound examination follow-up). Comparing with thecontrol group (second group) we find out that the operative time, bloodloss, healing time, incision length, postoperative scar size of the observationgroup (first group) were significantly better than the control group (P<0.05).Twogroups were showed no incidence of breast deformation statistically significant(P>0.05).Conclusion: The Minimally invasive Surgery for the patients with benigntumors is much better than the conventional open excisional surgery in terms ofoperative time, blood loss, healing time, incision length, size and surgical scars. |
