ObjectiveTo investigate the epidemiological features and explore the clinicalcharacteristics and Operative methods of electrical burn injury of chestMethodsA retrospectively analysis was conducted in32patients with electricalburn injury of chest of our hospital from January2001to December2013,and their clinical data were collected and analyzed the9cases ofautologous skin grafting, the17cases of local rotation skin flap graftingand6cases of Type axial flap transplantation were classified Group A,Group B and Group C. the differences in operation time, hospital stays, the number of operation, postoperative complications and prognosticindicator.these date of the procedures were compared with statisticalanalysis.Results1.epidemiological features:32patients were involved in this research.there were28(87.5%)males and4(12.5%) females with a ratio of7:1.the mean age was31.53±12.28years (range8to60years).18~36years(59.38%) occupied most of the cases,17(53.13%) cases of patientswere farmers. there were30cases of electrical chest injury following byHigh Voltage Alternating Current,2cases following by thunder andlightning. the mortality of the electrical chest injury was12.5%.2.The wound characteristics: the mean of total burn area was3.86±2.13%TBSA(range1%to9%).there were23(71.88%)casesfollowing by electric outlet.5cases with The internal organs damage, the MorbidityOf type Ⅳ electrical chest burns is15.63%。3.The result of SNK test from3groups showed that operation timepresented difference(P<0.05),hospital stays presented no difference (P>0.05).the number of surgery:group A was2.33times; group B was1.29times;group C was1.5times.4. Among the postoperative complication, postoperative infection ismost frequent(28.13%).in group of autologous skin grafting, theincidence of postoperative infection was44.44%, skin hemodynamicdisorder and scar proliferation was22.22%. The incidence of threeindicators are highest in three groups. in group of Type axial flaptransplantation, the postoperative infection, hemodynamic disorder andempyema are all the lowest incidence in three groups.Conclusion1. electrical burn injury of chest is common in high voltage electricalburns contact, burn area is not large but mortality is higher, the youth ofthe male migrant workers easily occurs, Internal organs injury is rare.2. the electrical burn injury of chest need operation treatment. if trauma is no internal organs damage, local Flap Transplantation is an idealoperative method. Type axial flap transplantation is the best choice ifdamaged tissue is large or the wound with Internal organs injury.3.Among the postoperative complications, postoperative infection,Tissue blood supply obstacles are most frequent. The incidence ofpostoperative complications was significantly higher in group ofautologous skin grafting than that in group of Skin flap transplantation...
