【Objective】:To compare low dose morphine and tramadol in the treatment ofmoderate cancer pain features and differences, Discuss the choice of drugin treatment of patients with moderate cancer pain, Thus providingevidence based medicine can refer for clinical medicine.【Subjects and methods】:Between July2012to December2012,74cases of patients withmoderate pain were collected in the First Affiliated Hospital of GuangxiMedical University hospice met the inclusion criteria, they were dividedinto group of tramadol and morphine groups, their pain was controlled bytramadol and morphine respectively. Recording pain scores of the twogroups of patients, drug dosages, costs, the time to achieve stable pain,QOL scores, KPS scores, watching and recording adverse reactions mayoccur in patients, The favorite choice of patients. Statistics using SPSS16.0software for data analysis, Measurement data using t test, count datausing Chi-square test, All statistical analyses are in p <0.05for thedifference between the two groups with significant statistically.【Results】:1. The tenth day of the NRS score difference of tramadol and morphine groups was no statistically significant after treatment(P>0.05), the rate of pain relief difference was not statisticallysignificant (P>0.05).2. The mean dose of tramadol, median doses were0.341±0.08g,0.35g; The mean dose of morphine, the median dose wasrespectively68.6±20.5mg,70mg, Equivalent oral doses ofmorphine and tramadol is approximately1:5.3. The cost-effectiveness ratio of the morphine group (C/E) is23.52±7.02, Tramadol group is18.08±3.78, tramadol group issignificantly higher than the morphine group.4. The time to achieve stable pain of morphine group and tramadolgroup were2.67±0.542.97±0.55days respectively, Thedifference is statistically significant (P <0.05), Morphine analgesiacan reach steady state faster than tramadol.5. After treatment of tramadol group and the morphine group, Thetenth day of the KPS score, QOL scores are not statisticallysignificant (P>0.05); Two group KPS, QOL score before and aftertheir treatment differences were statistically significant (P <0.05).6. Tramadol and morphine have the similar adverse reactions, Mainlyin nausea, vomiting, constipation, dizziness and so on. Tramadolincidence of nausea, vomiting and constipation are lower comparedwith morphine, The difference is statistically significant (P <0.05). 7. Drug favorite choice of two groups are not statistically significant(P <0.05)【Conclusion】:For patients with moderate cancer pain, tramadol and low doseof morphine can effectively relieve the patient’s pain, Improvemobility and quality of life of patients; Tramadol is more suitable forthose drugs is well tolerated, the more difficult economic and patientson morphine feel fear, Morphine is fast pain relief, no maximumamount limit, Both of which can be used in patients with moderatepain depending on the circumstances.
