Objective To compare the gene expression profiles of ANGPTL1and ANGPTL2in cumulus cells from PCOS and non-PCOS patients who were undergoing IVF cycles, respectively, and test if the two genes are associated with the oocyte maturation in PCOS or non-PCOS patients and whether ANGPTL1,2had relations with the process of PCOS.Methods11patients with PCOS and16non-PCOS patients with male or tubal fators was collected. The mRNA expression levels of cumulus cells were detected by qRT-PCR.Results1. No matter in PCOS or non-PCOS patients, both ANGPTL1and ANGPTL2had significantly higher expression levels (P<0.05) in CCs isolated from mature oocytes (CC MⅡ) than from immature oocytes (CC gv+MⅠ).2. ANGPTL1had a lower expression level (P>0.05) in CC Mn of PCOS than in non-PCOS patients. But ANGPTL2had a higher expression level(P<0.05)in CC Mn of PCOS than in non-PCOS patients. Conclusion Our results suggested that the change in ANGPTL1and ANGPTL2expression levels may be associated with follicular growth and maturation during the preovulatory period. ANGPTL2, instead of ANGPTL1, maybe participate the process of PCOS during maturation of follicle.
