Objective:To explore the incidence of post-traumatic stress disorder and symptomatol-ogy characteristic among pupils of Zhouqu disaster; To study related factors causing trauma-tic stress disorder; To provide a scientific basis for the prevention and treatment of PTSD in the primary.Method:Cross-sectional research methods combined questionnaire and interview were applied, each grade class as a unit by using the method of random sampling numbers,600s-choolchildren who were resumed after debris flow disaster in Zhouqu were investigated wi-th general questionnaire and Psychometric properties of the PTSD checklist (PCL-C).Results:The positive occurring rate of schoolchildren PTSD is7.6%; and girls accoun-ted for9.6%was higher than boys for5.3%, the difference between the two groups is statis-tically significant (P<0.05); Han Chinese accounted for6.7%was lower than minority account-ed for13.4%, the difference was significant in ethnic group (P<0.05); six-grade students (13.4%) and third grade (13.0%) was higher than the other four grades, the difference among g-rades was statistically significant (P<0.05); three groups of PTSD symptom clusters was h-igh positive rate, the major symptom were hyper vigilance and avoidance According to fac-tors ranked. Girls and minorities, six-grade and third grade (in addition to traumatic experience-s symptoms) have a higher detection rate of positive symptoms of PTSD, and the difference among factors were statistically significant (P<0.05). Students who was seriously affected t-he degree of consciousness, trapped in the disaster, rescued another student in disaster and wi-tnessed other killed were higher positive rate of PTSD, and these people was susceptible of PTSD.Conclusion:There is a high positive rate of PTSD among students after debris flow in Zhouqu,We should focus on six-grade, third grade, girls, minorities, the degree of influe-nce weight, students who were trapped, rescue disaster victims and others witnessed mudslide di-saster individuals,and take effective interventions to reduce long-term psychological harm.
