Objective:By injecting Porphyromonas gingivalis(the main pathogenic bacterium of periodontal disease) to the rets,we observe the influence of Porphyromonas gingivalis to vascular intima adhesion factors and matrix metalloproteinases, and we confirm that periodontal disease maybe one mechanism of atheromatous plaque. Methods:A total of120rats were randomly and equally divided into blank control group, low dose group and high dose group, then they were theated for12weeks(Injected Porphyromonas gingivalis to the rats every3days,and antibiotics were not permited). Then detectioned the concentration of intercellular adhesion molecules-1(ICAM-1)、vascular cell adhesion molecules(VCAM-1)、matrix metalloproteinases-3(MMP-3) and matrix metalloproteinases-9(MMP-9) in rats’blood. Results:Compared with blank control, there were significant in ICAM-1[(175.7±14.30) ng/ml vs.(182.62±15.07) ng/ml(189.39±14.93) ng/ml], VCAM-1[(256.49±37.17) ng/ml vs.(271.58±32.85) ng/ml、(286.66±30.66)ng/ml] MMP-3[(3.23■0.69) ng/ml vs.(3.61±0.82) ng/ml,(3.97±0.83)ng/ml]and MMP-9[(1.30±0.39) mg/L vs.(1.48±0.39) mg/L>(1.67±0.45) mg/L] in low dose group and high dose group(P<0.05all).Compared with low dose group, there were significant in the factors talked above in high dose group(P<0.05all).Conclusion:Porphyromonas gingivalis can increase the concentration of ICAM-1, VCAM-1, MMP-3and MMP-9in rats’ blood, and ICAM-1, VCAM-1can promote the evolve of inflammation;MMP-3、MMP-9can degradation collagen and decompose the fibrous cap that packed cholesterin, then increased the risk of coronary heart disease.Further more, Porphyromonas gingivalis can promote the coronary heart disease.
