Objective:To explore the effects of a comprehensive nursing intervention for decreasing negative emotions and improvement of prognosis in patients with chronic heart failure.Methods:Ninety hospitalized patients with chronic heart failure in the department of Cardiology in Yantai Yu Huang Ding hospital were selected conveniently. They were randomly divided into the intervention group (n=45, missing2cases) and the control group (n=45, missing2cases). The experimental group received comprehensive nursing intervention, including health education, psychological intervention, relaxation training, standard telephone follow-up and so on. While the control group received routine care. The score of SAS, score of SDS, readmission frequency, readmission days were measured after the intervention.Results:1. In the study of90middle-aged and young patients with chronic heart failure,60%of clients were the age from40to50year old, it’s pathogeny was among the top two of coronary heart disease and cardiomyopathy.2. In the study of90middle-aged and young patients with chronic heart failure,73.3%of clients with CHF were worrying.26.7%perceived a low level of anxiety,27.7%perceived a moderate level of anxiety,18.9%perceived a high level of anxiety.3.In the study of90middle-aged and young patients with chronic heart failure,57.8%of clients witn CHF were depressed.32.2%perceived a low level of depression,25.6%perceived a moderate hign level of depression.4.By a comprehensive nursing intervention, the scoreS of SAS and SDS were decline after six months. There were significant differences in score of SAS, score of SDS (P<0.05) between the two groups.5.By a comprehensive nursing intervention, There were significant differences in readmission frequency(0.89±0.90vs0.53±0.64), readmission days(15.06±20.18vs5.62±8.56)(P all <0.05) between the two groups.Conclusion: Most young patients with chronic heart failure have anxiety, depression. Comprehensive nursing intervention can reduce negative emotions of patients with chronic heart failure and it can also reduce readmission frequency and readmission days. It’s an effective intervention.
