Study On The Constitution Of Traditional Chinese Medicine And Related Indexes In People With Impaired Glucose Regulation

ObjectiveTo investigate the relationship between the constitution of Traditional ChineseMedicine and the relevant indexes in IGR,to provide new ideas for the prevention ofIGR.MethodsThis topic research object was selected from multiple community service center inhefei in June2012to December2012,295cases met the inclusion criteria.Using TCMconstitution scale questionnaire data to identificate TCM constitution type.The patients’height,weight,waist circumference,hip circumference,blood pressure(BP);body massindex(BMI),waist hip ratio(WHR),fasting plasma glucose(FPG), postprandial2h plasmaglucose(2hPG),total cholesterol(TC), triglyceride(TG),creatinine(Cr),ureanitrogen(BUN),fasting insulin(FINS) and so on were detect,and were analyzed by SPSS17.0.Results:1)In295cases with IGR, simple constitution in214cases,compound constitution in81cases, accounted for72.54%,27.46%respectively.2) In simple constitution cases,there were70cases of gentleness type(32.71%),35casesof qi-deficiency type(16.36%),5cases of yang-deficiency type(2.34%),21cases ofyin-deficiency type(9.81%),43cases of phlegmatic hygrosis type(20.09%),22cases ofdampness heat type(10.28%),13cases of stasis type(6.07%),3cases of qi-depressiontype(1.40%),2cases of particular type(0.94%).3) In6common simple constitutions with IGR,phlegm dampness is common inmiddle-agedpeople.Compared with other constitutions,the BMI,WHR of hlegmdampness constitution were significantly higher(P<0.01),the yin-deficiencyconstitution’s was significantly lower(P＜0.01,P<0.05).Comparison between the groups BP,FPG,2hPG,the differences were notstatistically significant(P>0.05).The HOMA-IRof phlegmatic hygrosis group is significantly higher than other constitutions(P＜0.01,P＜0.05),and the levels of total cholesterol(TC),triglyceride (TG) is significantly higherthan gentleness,qi-deficiency,yin-deficiency,stasis types,but there was no statisticallysignificant difference compared with the dampness heat type(P>0.05).No statisticallysignificant differences about Cr, BUN between these groups(P>0.05),but Cr, BUN ofthe Blood-stasis constitution was significantly higher than other groups.The rate ofabnormal Electrocardiogram of the Blood-stasis was highest (46.15%),andQi-deficiency was second(34.29%).Conclusions1) Performances of TCM constitution of IGT subjects are simple and compoundconstitution, in which a larger proportion is the simple constitution.2) The simple constitution classifications distributions in subjects with impaired glucosetolerance are: gentleness constitution, phlegm-dampness constitution,Yi-deficiencyconstitution, dampness-heat constitution, Qin-deficiency constitution, Blood-stasisconstitution.The phlegm dampness constitution is one of the most important biasedconstitution,consistent with pathogenesis of IGR"spleen wet Sheng".3) In6common simple constitutions with IGR,the BMI,WHR of hlegm dampnessconstitution were highest,suggesting that phlegm dampness mostly for obese people,with the Chinese medicine"fat people more wet,more phlegm".The FINS andHOMA-IR of Phlegm dampness constitution were higher than other types ofconstitution.Modern medicine has an view that central obesity is an important factor ofinsulin resistance, which is probablyphlegm dampness constitution is one of the mostimportant causes for the IGR crowd.4) The creatinine,blood urea nitrogen and the rate of abnormal electrocardiogram ofblood stasis is the highest,prompting blood stasis IGR may have poor prognosis thatchanging to the normal glucose tolerance.
