Objective To investigate the risk factors for cerebral venous sinusthrombosis during pregnancy and puerperium. Methods We collected clinic data of inpatients from2004to2013inneurology department and maternity department of1sthospital of GuangxiMedical University.120maternal women were enrolled and divided into twogroups according to whether cerebral venous sinus thrombosis disease occurring,respectively20in the case group and100in the control group. CVST diseaseswere diagnosed according to the <Diagnosis and Management of CerebralVenous Thrombosis> from the American Heart Association/American StrokeAssociation, after imaging diagnosis of cerebral venous system such as MRV orDSA. we retrospectively analyze the clinical features and record important datasuch as age, general information,WBC,FIB, delivery method, hypertensiondisorder complicating pregnancy, disorder complicating pregnancy, primipara∕multipara, pathological pregnancy and so on, in order to find the risk factors. These data were analyzed with T-test, χ2-check and conditional logisticregression analysis. Results20maternal women complicating CVST were diagnosed,including16with CVST, average age of onset27years old.5cases in prenataland15cases in postpartum.16cases in headache,4cases in vomiting,2cases invisual impairment,10cases in focal neurologic deficit including limb movementdisorder and sensory disorder,10cases in consciousness disorder,6cases inepileptic seizure,1case in psychological and behavioral abnormality and7casesin fever.18patients were treated with low molecular weight heparinanticoagulant therapy,which1cases combined with tissue type plasminogenactivator (rt-PA) thrombolytic therapy,1cases combined argatroban therapy,1cases combined with aspirin,2cases were treated with supporting treatmentsuch as improved circulation and reduced intracranial pressure.17cases(85%)improved, another3cases(15%) died during hospitalization. Logistic regressionanalysis showed that hypertensive disorder complicating pregnancy andpathological pregnancy closely combined to maternal women complicatingCVST.Conclusions Maternal women complicating CVST is less common, itcan occur in the prenatal and postpartum, but mostly occurs in late pregnancyand puerperium. It has epidemiology. Hypertensive disorder complicatingpregnancy and pathological pregnancy were Independent risk factors formaternal complicating CVST.
