Aims:To assess the correlation between the polymorphisms in the coagulation factor Ⅶ (F Ⅶ) gene HVR4site and coronary artery disease (CAD) in different ethnicities, especially Asian populations. Methods:CBM, CNKI, Wanfang database, VIP, PubMed, the Cochrane Library and Embase were searched published up to April2013to collect the case-control studies on the FⅦ gene HVR4site and CAD in different ethnicities And to update the data in April2014. The quality of included studies was evaluated, the available data was extracted, We set up a validity assessment score system according to the principle of Little et al and based on the scale of Thakkinstian et al.Then we drafted data extraction table to extract data. Odds ratios (ORs) with corresponding95%confidence interval (CI) were calculated with a random-effects model or fixed-effects model. All statistical analyses were performed with RevMan5.1(The Cochrane Collaboration, Oxford, United Kingdom) and Stata11.0(Stata Corp, College Station, TX, USA).Results:Fifteen case-control studies were included, involving3343cases with CAD group and3353cases in the control group. The results of meta-analysis showed that, as to the association of the polymorphism of the FⅦ gene HVR4site H7/H6+H5and CAD, H7H7/H6H6+H7H6and CAD, there were low correlation between people with different ethnic groups. But the H6allele versus H7+H5allele and CAD, H6H6/H6H7+H7H7H6H6与H7H7+H7H6[OR=1.11,95%CI (1.01>1.21) and we had a contrary result; there was a high correlation in different ethnic groups. However, the H5allele versus H6+H7allele and CAD were no significant difference, i.e.genotype of H6H6versus H7H7+H7H6[OR=1.16,95%CI(0.57,1.38), P=0.10], genotype of H7H6versus H7H7+H6H6[OR=0.97,95%CI(0.83,1.14), P=0.70],6H5与H7H7+H6H6+H6H7[OR=1.28,95%CI (0.78,2.11), P=0.33].Conclusions:FⅦ gene HVR4Polymorphisms H7allele and the H7H7genotype may be protective factors for CAD in Asian and African, this correlation Chinese population compared with other Asian countries no significant difference, H6allele and H6H6genotype may be a risk factor for CAD in Asian and African, but may not be associated with the European, but H5allele and H6H5, H6H7genotyp is likely to unassociated with the CAD in different ethnic groups.
