| Objective: To observe clinical analysis of Vitapex paste and calciumhydroxide paste efficacy in the treatment of chronic apical periodontitisMethod：Choosing100cases of patients with apical periodontitis anddividing them into A, B groups,50cases in each group. A group with Vitapexpaste agent,and B group with calcium hydroxide paste agent for the treatment ofchronic apical periarthritis and then to compare the clinical efficacy of Vitapexpaste and Calcium Hydroxide Paste for treatment of chronic apical periodontitis.Result：1. The effect of Vitapex paste group is more significant thancalcium hydroxide paste group for the treatment of chronic apical periarthritis.2.Vitapex couldn`t stimulate periapical tissue, the volume would not shrink, andthere were not spaces in root tube wall and Vitapex after solidification, X-rayresistance, operation is simple, won’t cause tooth discoloration.3. Thedisadvantages of calcium hydroxide paste：（1）poor viscosity and liquidity, androot filling and hard, and Calcium hydroxide must contact closely with root tiptissue in order to take a full role in treating chronic apical periodontitis；（2）Easy absorb, if not control periapical inflammation, inflammatory connectivetissue enter inside root canal, and affect the normal repair of periapical tissue（3）X-ray resistance, so it is not easy to master the depth of the filling and toaccurately judge the root canal filling, which is difficult o accurately determine the root canal filling and analysize clinical therapeutic effect（4）because oftemporary prepare and having to increasing operating procedure. And it isdifficult to fill curved small root canal and the formation of calcified bridge issometimes not in the root tip1/3, but in root middle1/3.Conclusion: Vitapex paste for the treatment of chronic apical periarthritiseffect can be used widely in clinical. |
