Objectives:Application of meta analysis method comparison of intra-articular injection of sodiumhyaluronate and hormone, placebo in the treatment of osteoarthritis of the affectedjoints, relieve pain, improve joint activity and side effectsof difference, analysis ofcurative effect of sodium hyaluronate in the treatment of osteoarthritis of the kneeandsafety, to provide reference for clinical medication.Materials and methods:Taking"osteoarthritis"as the main search keywords, also includes “osteoarthrosis”,“gonarthrosis”,“degenerative arthritis”,“hyaluronic acid”,“hyaluronan, hyaluronate,”.The main retrievals include PubMed, Medline twodatabase,Cochrane Library,Other English journal website also includes DOAJ OA journal retrieval platform,Plos,BioMed Center,The Max Planck Society,Hanspub, also CBM,CNKI,VIP three Chinese database. To conform to the standards of the literature quality evaluation according to the Jadad scoring method, extracting the relevant data,Meta analysis of data using Revman5.0.21software. Thefunnel plot analysis of publication bias.Results:1. Compared with the steroid hormone: there were4RCT, a total of502cases of kneejoint. Meta analysis showed:6weeks of intra-articular injection of sodiumhyaluronate and corticosteroid in the treatment of knee joint OA in pain reliefhadsignificant differences in95%CI[0.33(0.03,0.64)], no heterogeneityamong theincluded studies (I2=68%, P=0.05).6months, no significant difference in painrelief between two.2. Compared with the placebo saline:4RCT included, a total of341cases of knee joint. The results of Meta analysis showed,6weeks of intra-articular injectionof sodium hyaluronate in the treatment and placebo in the relief of pain of knee joint OA had significant differences in95%CI{-0.92(-1.72,-0.12)],no heterogeneity among the included studies (I2=85%, P=0.0001). After8weeks, the two in the relief of pain were not statistically significant difference in95%CI[-3.36(-9.38,2.26)], included between study heterogeneity (I2=98%,P<0.000001)].Conclusions:The statistical analysis of evidence may indicate:6weeks in the hormonegroup issuperior to sodium hyaluronate group pain relief, in the treatment of6months in thetwo groups had no difference in pain relief. Glass in6weeksacid sodiumgroup in relief of pain is better than that of saline group, at8weeks after treatment inthe two groups had no difference in pain relief.
