OBJECTIVE:TO analyze drug resistance from24strains producing extended spectrum beta lactamases (ESBLs) of Escherichia coli and62strains of non producing extended spectrum beta lactamases (ESBLs) in the third affiliated hospital of Inner Mongolia medical college, studying the drug resistance of Escherichia coli, so as to provide basis for clinical therapy. Based on the24ESBLs producing strains of Escherichia coli for homology analysis, understanding the ESBLs producing Escherichia coli in distribution and to provide scientific reference for the control of nosocomial infection.Methods:86strains of Escherichia coli strains were isolated from clinical specimen in the third affiliated hospital of inner Mongolia medical college.Identification and drug sensitivity test was performed using VITEK2automatic microbiological analyzer. ESBLs was examined with the method recommended by NCCLS. All the bacteria were identified by rep-PCR.Results:The drug sensitivity results showed that ESBLs producing strains to12common antibiotics drug resistance rate is much higher than that of non ESBLs producing strains, ESBLs producing strains of cephalosporin antibiotic resistance rate of more than80%.Conclusion:Multiple antibiotics resistance is prevalent in the third affiliated hospital of inner Mongolia medical college, maybe there are some cross-infection. The laboratory shall strengthen the detection of ESBLs producing strains to reduce the multidrug resistant strains. It is necessary to enhance the clinical reasonable use of antibiotics and take effective measures to control of hospital infection.
