Objective To investigate the effect of salvianolate injection on the levels of serum8-isoPG, IL-1β and IL-18in acute exacerbated chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(AECOPD) patients. Methods According to the diagnostic and include criteria, Sixty patients with AECOPD were recruited from January2013to June2013from our inpatients. By Randomized prospective studies of experimental design methods, the patients will be conformed to the treatment group and the control group, according to the selected time and the random of table randomly. Routine therapies for COPD were given to patients in the control group, while20mg salvianolate injection was given to those in the treatment group by intravenous dripping, once daily for total14days. The changes of8-isoPG, IL-1β, IL-18, arterial partial pressure of carbon dioxide(PaCO2)、arterial partial pressure of oxygen(PaO2), hemorheology, the pulmonary functions and CAT scores were evaluated before treatment and after treatment. The level of8-isoPG, IL-18and IL-1β were compared with those of30healthy controls. At last, all datas were analyzed by SPSS17.0for windows.Result There are no significant differences in the value of8-isoPG, IL-18, IL-1β, PaCO2, PaO2, hemorheolog, FEV1/FVC and FEV1%before treatment between two group(P>0.05). The levels of serum8-isoPG, IL-1β, IL-18, PaCO2, and CAT scores after treatment was significantly lower than that before treatment(P<0.01), while no obvious difference was found between the control group before and after treatment. What’s more, the above indicators decreased more significantly in the salvianolate group after treatment (P<0.05).The PaO2、FEV1%and FEV1/FVC were significantly improved after treatment in two group(P<0.01). The PaO2in treatment group was higher than in control group. There were significant differences between two groups(P<0.05). There are no significant differences between two group in the levels of FEV1%and FEV1/FVC (P>0.05). Although the whole trail there was no serious adverse affects in both groups, which indicated that it was safe to use salvianolate injection in curing AECOPD beside conventional therapy. Conclusions Salvianolate injection reduce the levels of8-isoPG, IL-1β, IL-18and improve the clinical symptoms, blood gas analysis and hemorheolog in AECOPD patients, probably by inhibiting inflammatory reaction and reducing the oxidative stress.
