The Clinical Observation On Treating Post Stroke Depression With Acupunctureing Scalp And Back Shu Points

Objective:To observe the clinical therapeutic effect of scalp acupuncture combined with back shu points for treatment of post stroke depression. To provide a reliable and effective treatment method for the treatment of post stroke depression.Methods:60cases of patients with depression after stroke were randomly divided into two groups,30cases in treatment group and control group with30cases. Two groups of patients were the basis for the treatment of cerebral vascular diseases. At the same time, the control group oral medicine Deanxit treatment,1time a day,1tablet each time (morning oral), the treatment group on the basis of the control group were treated with acupuncture (Sishencong, Feishu, Xinshu, Pishu, Ganshu, Shenshu), acupuncture1time a day, each time the needle for30min,6times a week continuous treatment for4weeks. Before and after treatment in the two groups were investigated by Hamilton Depression Scale (HAMD)24, TCM syndrome scoring criteria to evaluate the depression, with the modified Edinburgh and Scandinavia Stroke Scale (MESSS) to evaluate the degree of nervous function defect. Moreover, the data collected was analyzed by software SPSS17.0.Result:1.Improvement in depressive symptoms, after treatment, HAMD scores of the two groups were decreased significantly, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.01), treatment group compared with control group, there was significant difference (P<0.05), suggesting that the two groups can improve symptoms of depression patients, and the treatment group was better than control group.2.Improvement in TCM syndrome,after treatment, two groups were significantly decreased, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.01), treatment group compared with control group, there was significant difference (P<0.05), suggesting that the two groups were improved in patients with TCM syndrome, and the treatment group was better than control group.3.Improvement in the clinical neural function defect,after treatment, MESSS scores of the two groups were decreased significantly, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.01), treatment group compared with control group, there was significant difference (P<0.05), suggesting that the two groups could improve neurologic impairment symptoms, but the treatment group was better than control group.4. In terms of clinical efficacy, patients in the two groups after treatment, the total effective rate in treatment group was86.7%, while the control group, the total effective rate was73.3%, the difference was statistically significant compared with group two(P<0.05), the efficacy of the treatment group than the control group in the treatment of PSD.Conclusion:1.Effect of scalp acupuncture combined with back shu points for the treatment of depression after stroke is exact, can improve the patients’ depressive symptoms and TCM syndrome.2.Scalp acupuncture combined with back Shu Points can improve the degree of neural function defect in patients with depression after stroke.
