The Clinical Observation Of Onset Regularity,TCM Diagnosis And Treatment On Preschool Children With Chronic Cough In Winter

Objectives:Based on the observation of preschool children’s characteristics and the TCM treatment of chronic cough in the winter of2013, the observation on the living habits, pathogenesis inducement and the feasibility of the treatment provides reference information for clinical treatment and medical research.Methods:According to the inclusion criteria, the clinical observation includes25cases of preschool children with chronic cough. We reference the theory and diagnosis standard of traditional Chinese medicine to come up with the treatment plan for children, then pay regular visit by the course of treatment. The results will be discussed in accordance with the diagnosis/treatment groups.Results:The25cases of children’s ages ranged from2.5years to6.5years, and the observation time ranged from the beginning of the winter in2013to the beginning of the spring in2014. According to TCM syndrome research, the children’s part of pathogeny is fever and excess, there were no significant correlation with sex, age, medical history, inducement.64%of the patients have a history of eczema; all of the patients had different degrees of history of drug abuse;64%of the patients have a history of antibiotic use;56%of the patients have a history of parents’self medication. In the way of life,76%have poor eating habits and40%have a jaded appetite;72%dressing and cover too much with48%of them have insomnia. The TCM treatment we are taken to the light, clear, supplemented with cool, digest. Based on that, according to the different forms of medication were divided into three groups: Chinese patent drug group, fixed formula decoction drug group, flexible formula decoction drug group. The observation finished after10-12days’treatment which doing statistical analysis to get the result. The result showed:In total of25cases,10cases were cured,8cases had obvious effect,1case had no effect,6cases stopped observation. The cure rate was40%, the effective rate was72%, of which Chinese patent drug group’s effective rate was66.7%, fixed formula decoction drug group was66.7%, flexible formula decoction drug group was80.0%. The average period of treatment is7.84days, and there was no significant difference between the groups. The parent satisfaction rate was64%, closely relating with the therapeutic effect. The two decoction drug groups’ satisfaction rate was slightly higher than Chinese patent drug group.Conclusion:The preschool children with chronic cough in the clinical observation were affected by climate impact in2013with the bad living habits, the reason why their pathogeny is fever and excess. The history of eczema and drug abuse were important disease-induced factors too. According to the therapeutic effect, we can be considered to the treatment of light, clear, supplemented with cool, digest is one of the effective therapies of chronic cough.
