ObjectiveTo analyze and compare the levels of serum vitamin A、D in preschool children with chronic cough and healthy children, and to observe the clinical efficacy of auxiliary administration of vitamin A、D in the treatment of chronic cough in preschool children, hoping to provide new ideas for better prevention and treatment of chronic cough in preschool childrenMethodsFrom January 2019 to January 2020,132 children with upper airway cough syndrome(UACS),cough variant asthma(CVA)and cough(PIC)after(respiratory tract)infection were selected as the case group(including outpatients and inpatients). They were randomly divided into vitamin AD treatment group and routine treatment group(routine treatment group was only given routine, symptomatic treatment).Vitamin AD treatment group refers to vitamin A、D supplementation on the basis of routine treatment At the same time,58 healthy children who underwent routine physical examination in the pediatric clinic of our hospital were selected as the control group, the levels of serum vitamin A、D in the case group and the control group were analyzed and compared, and the clinical effects of vitamin AD treatment group and routine treatment group were observed.Follow-up for 3 months and count the number of recurrenceResult1.In the case group, there were 52 cases of UACS(24 males and 28 females),42 cases of CVA(24 males and 28 females)and 38 cases of PIC(20 males and 18 females)2.The median vitamin A level and vitamin D level of UACS children in the case group were 0.26 mg and 0.26 mg,respectively, and the median vitamin D level was 20.80ng/mL.The median vitamin A level and vitamin D level in children with CVA were 0.25mg and 0.25mg,respectively.The median vitamin D level was 18.30ng/mL.The median vitamin A level and vitamin D level in children with PIC were 0.25mg and 0.25mg,respectively,and the median vitamin D level was 18.70ng/mL3.In the case group, the median level of vitamin A was 0.26mg/L,and the median level of vitamin D was 19.65ng/mL.In the control group, the median level of vitamin A was 0.34mg/L,and the median level of vitamin D was 26.55ng/mL.There was significant difference in the non parametric rank sum test of vitamin A、D levels between the two groups(P<0.05)4.In the case group, the constituent ratio of vitamin A deficiency was 23%,the constituent ratio of marginal deficiency was 48%,and the normal constituent ratio was 29%;the constituent ratio of vitamin D deficiency was 11%,the insufficient constituent ratio was 41%,and the suitable constituent ratio was 49%5.The detection rate of vitamin A deficiency in the case group was 71%,while that in the control group was 28%.The detection rate of vitamin D deficiency in the case group was 52%,and that in the control group was 17%.The chi-square test showed significant difference in the detection rate of vitamin A and D deficiency between the two groups(P<0.05)6.Logistics regression analysis showed that vitamin A、D deficiency were the risk factors of chronic cough in preschool children. The regression coefficients b were 1.766 and 1.492.And the OR values were 5.848 and 4.4447.The clinical efficacy indexes(including cough remission time, cough disappearance time and recurrence times)between vitamin AD treatment group and routine treatment group were tested by two independent samples t-test,and there was significant difference between vitamin AD treatment group and routine treatment group(P<0.05)Conclusion1.The levels of serum vitamin A、D in preschool children with chronic cough were generally lower than healthy children, and the detection rate of vitamin A、D deficiency in preschool children with chronic cough were generally higher than healthy children2.Vitamin A、D deficiency are the risk factors of chronic cough in preschool children3.On the basis of routine and symptomatic treatment, oral supplementation of vitamin A、D in the treatment of chronic cough in preschool children can improve the clinical therapeutic effect.
