Objective:this subject of randomized study observes the changes of the triceps isometric maximum strength,ache degree and calf circumference,to investigate the effects of shaoyaog-ancaotang on Delay Onset Muscle Soreness(DOMS).Methods:sixty patients, which is in accordance with the inclusion criteria with Volunteer, were divided into treatment group and control group randomly,by use randomized controlled trial study design. Both groups have30patients. The training method of Delay Onset Muscle Soreness was high strength eccentric jump.The treatment group was treated with Shaoyaogancaotang, and the control group was not treated. Assessment content: VAS score态 calf circumference measured by tape and the triceps isometric maximum strength measured by BTE PRIMUSRS, clinical curative effect in one hour before training, immediately after training,the first day after training,the second day after training,the fourth day after training and the sixth day after training. Results:Statistical analysis of the data. The results prove that,1.comparing in two groups:the VAS score and the triceps isometric maximum strength had significant change which was compared with the immediately after training(P<0.05).But the calf circumference had not significant change(P>0.05).2.comparing between two groups:the score,calf circumference and the triceps isometric maximum strength had significant change (P<0.05).The triceps isometric maximum strength at one hour before training and immediately after training in the treatment group, which were compared with the control group(P>0.05);Immediately after training calf muscle appear soreness,but not before training.calf circumference had not change. the triceps isometric maximum strength at Immediately after training lower than it before training. The scores of VAS scale,and the triceps isometric maximum strength were compared between the treatment group and control group at first day after training,second day after training,fourth day after training and sixth day after training, the results show that, there were statistically significant differences (P<0.05),but not the calf circumference(P>0.05). at second day after training calf muscle aches most serious,then diminish gradually.The calf circumference was still no change.The triceps isometric maximum strength increased gradually following first day after training. Conclusion:1.There were obvious therapeutic effect in Shaoyaogancaotang treatment for DOMS.2.The Shaoyaogancaotang treatment for DOMS could recover the triceps isometric maximum strength quickly.3.Taking Shaoyaogancaotang had no effect on the calf circumference.
