Objective:(1)To study the diagnostic value of T2*-weighed perfusionimage (T2*-PWI) in breast tumors.(2)To compare the diagnostic value ofdynamic contrast-enhanced (DCE) magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) as asingle parameter to multiparametric (MP) MRI with2(DCE MRI anddiffusion weighted imaging [DWI]) and3(DCE MRI, DWI, and T2*-PWI)parameters in breast tumors diagnosis.Materials and Methods: Sixty-four patients with breast tumors wereperformed by3.0T MRI,including T2*-PWI, DCE-MRI and DWI beforeoperation. The morphological analysis of the lesions in the GE AW4.4workstation.(1)Drawing the perfusion images of T2*-PWI image and thetime-signal intensity curve of the DCE-MRI, Maximum slope of decrease(MSD) were measured.(2)the ADC value were measured in the ADCmapping by functool. Fischer score for each lesion.Compared the diagnosticvalue of dynamic contrast-enhanced (DCE) magnetic resonance imaging(MRI) as a single parameter to multiparametric (MP) MRI with2(DCE MRIand DWI) and3(DCE-MRI, DWI, and T2*-PWI) parameters in breasttumors diagnosis.Results: Irregular shape,spiculated or irregular margin, heterogeneousinternal enhancement, rim enhancement, and washout TIC pattern were thestrongest indicators of malignancy as well as past studies,regular shape,smooth edges, homogeneous internal enhancement, and the Persist TICpattern were the strongest indicators of benign. But aconsiderable overlap of the plateau TIC pattern between carcinomas and benign lesions was found.With the MSD values more than20%,there was significant differencesbetween the benign and malignant breast lesions (P<0.01), as well as ADCvalues.The diagnosis value of combination of T2*-PWI、DCE-MRI and DWIwas higher in the diagnosis of breast lesion among the four methods described.The sensitivity、specificity、PPV、NPV、Accuracy and AUC is97.8%,88%,93.6%,95.7%,94.2%,0.929, respectively.Conclusion:(1)T2*-PWI contribute to the differential diagnosis ofbenign and malignant breast disease, with high specificity.(2) In this experiment,T2*-PWI combined DCE-MRI,DWI cansignificantly improve the diagnostic value in benign and malignant breastlesions,with high accuracy and specificity.
