Several Rare (Less) Aggressive Variant Of Papillary Thyroid Carcinoma

Objective： Improved the understanding about several rare (less) aggressivevariant of papillary thyroid carcinoma.Methods： The latest domestic and foreign literatures were summarized andanalysised.Results： The prognosis of several rare (less) aggressive variant of papillarythyroid carcinoma was poor, it is included that diffuse sclerosing variant, columnarcell variant,micropapillary variant, papillary thyroid carcinoma with prominenthobnail features,papillary thyroid carcinomas with squamous cell carcinoma, insularthyroid carcinoma,and so on. Because of lacking awareness, some patients wereover-treatment,some treatment was not complete, and some missed the chance ofoperation. Now measures include early discovery in preoperative, normative surgeryduring intraoperative and comprehensive treatment of postoperative.Conclusion： Multi-disciplinary collaborative diagnosis and treatment patternsshould be established and extended for the purpose of standardized comprehensivetreatment of aggressive variant of papillary thyroid carcinoma, which should includepathology,diagnostic cradiology,surgical oncology,radiotherapy and psychologycal.Thus can improve the patients prognosis and the quality of life.
