Study On Index System For Patient Classification System Using In Nursing

ObjectiveUsing patient classification system,it is possible to calculate patient costper patient stay and the patients’staffing requirement.it will be possible torelate nursing cost and staffing requirement to actual nursing care giveninstead of fixed standard costs and staffing figures. To establish a scientific andpractical system in order to classify patient.MethodsUsing delphi method and social interview approach,the in-depth researchwas conducted on patient classification. According to the hospital managementstandard and the results of investigating the present status, the basic valuationsystem was first set up, then amended by“Delphi method”. Ratings of theDelphistudy were statistically analysed in the following way: Descriptive measures,including the mean,, standard deviation, and weights, were calculated foreach of the items.ResultsThe patient classification system has been developed, which consists of13first level indicators,67second level indicators and172third level indicators.ConclusionsThe research analyse factors which influence patient classification,explore a new patient classification which can be use in china. A system ofvalid patient classification has been developed to assist in human budget. This system turn out to be scientific and practical.
