Objective:Using two scales (PHQ-9and GAD-7) for the research of the situation of depression and anxiety of population with malignant tumor, and to understand the reliability and validity of the two scales. Methods:Sample was randomly selected from patients with malignant tumor in oncology department of medical institutions in Hunan Province. The questionnaire survey (including general information, the questionnaires PHQ-9and GAD-7scale) was adopted, and took DSM-IV as the standard for diagnosis of patients with major depression and generalized anxiety to understand the status and impact factors of the occurrence of malignant tumors in patients, and to examine two types of scale reliability and validity analysis in this population.Results:①The study investigated a total of318patients with malignant tumors, psychiatrist diagnosed48.11%study subjects suffering from severe depression of318and32.08%study subjects suffering from generalized anxiety according to DSM-IV.②The survey of PHQ-9showed that Cancer Staging (=54.275, P=0.000), whether the patient aware of the condition (=8.758, P=0.003), family support (=5.934, P=0.015) and Medicare case (=4.448, P=0.034) were the factors affecting the incidence of depression in cancer patients.③The survey of GAD-7scale showed that cancer stage (=14.593, P=0.002), whether the patient aware of the condition (=4.305, P=0.045); family support (=4.462,P=0.035) and economic conditions (=27.944, P0.000) were the factors affecting the incidence of anxiety in cancer patients.④The Cronbach alpha coefficient of PHQ-9questionnaire was0.852, Pearson correlation coefficient between the entries were0.159~0.652and were0.441-0.797between PHQ-9score and each entry. Set10as the best cut-off-point and took the DSM-IV as the "gold standard", the sensitivity and specificity of PHQ-9were73.20%and97.58%. The under area of ROC curve was0.928.⑤The Cronbach alpha coefficient of GAD-7questionnaire was0.859, Pearson correlation coefficient between the entries were0.381~0.638and were0.641-0.794between GAD-7score and each entry. Set10as the best cut-off-point and took the DSM-IV as the standard, the sensitivity and specificity of PHQ-9were84.31%and91.67%. The under area of ROC curve was0.928.Conclusion:①The incidence of depression and anxiety in patients with malignant tumor is much higher than the general population;②Whether the patient is aware of the patient’s condition, family and social support are the main factors that affect the psychological status of patients with cancer.③The application of PHQ-9and GAD-7in patients with malignant have good reliability and validity, and can effectively screening and assessment of the status of severe depression and generalized anxiety of patients with malignant tumors.
