Objectives:Observation of the clinical efficacy, eradication rate of Hp and incidence of adverse reactions using standard quadruple-treatment (lansoprazole, amoxicillin, clarithromycin combined with bismuth potassium citrate) when compared with the standard triple-treatment (lansoprazole, amoxicillin and clarithromycin). Methods:The outpatient and hospitalized patients consistent with the conditions of Helicobacter pylori infection in peptic ulcer and chronic gastritis were divided into2groups by stratified randomization. Standard triple-treatment group were given oral lansoprazole, clarithromycin, amoxicillin for7days. Standard quadruple-treatment group was treated with bismuth potassium citrate on the base of standard triple-treatment for7days. The clinical improvement, eradication rate of Hp and incidence of adverse reactions were comparied in these2groups by using14C breath test and rapid urease test when4weeks after the withdrawal.Results:1. Sixty-four patients completed the study. The helicobacter pylori eradication rate was70.59%in standard triple-treatment group and90.00%in standard quadruple-treatment group. The Helicobacter pylori eradication rate of quadruple-treatment group is higher than that of triple-treatment group (P<0.05).2. The efficiency remission rate of standard triple-treatment group is79.41%. the efficiency remission rate of standard quadruple-treatment group is93.33%, The efficientcy remission rate of quadruple-treatment group is higher than that of triple-treatment group (P<0.05).3.8.80%of the patients in standard triple-treatment group had adverse reaction, and10.00%of the patients in standard quadruple-treatment group had adverse reaction. The incidence of adverse reaction of2groups were of no significant difference (P>0.05). Conclusions:The standard quadruplet-treatment (Lansoprazole, amoxicillin, clarithromycin, colloidal bismuth subcitrate), when compared to the standard triple-treatment (Lansoprazole, amoxicillin, clarithromycin), has a higher eradication rate and remission rate. However, the adverse reaction rate have no significant difference. Therefore, the standard quadruplet-treatment is worthy to be popularized in clinical application of Helicobacter pylori eradication.
