With the development of science and technology, the cross application of biomedicalengineering has been a common research trends. This thesis focuses on the3Dreconstruction of eye contour for the patients with oculomotor nerve palsy and theassessment of profile error for ocular surface after reconstruction. The application of theresearch facilitates the doctors’ understanding of the patients’ illness and recovery. Themajor works of this thesis are listed as follows on the base of above.Firstly, we have to determine a reconstruction method by summarizing and analyzingthe relevant research situations at home and abroad. The existing image basedreconstruction methods mainly include model-based reconstruction, computer vision basedreconstruction and other relevant reconstruction methods. This thesis adopt themodel-based reconstruction since it has low requirements for equipment and easy toimplement. The appropriate face model is important to the model-based reconstruction, andwe select the Candide-3face model through comparative analysis of the existing severalkinds of models.Secondly, in the paper, we adjust the corresponding vertexes of the feature points inthe image based on the3D affine transformation, realize the adaptive adjustment ofnon-feature points and subdivide the adjusted rid model, then paste the images of patientsbased on texture mapping technology and realize realistic modeling.Thirdly, it is necessary to assess the profile error for ocular surface based on the3Dreconstruction of eye contour for the patients. Choose the non-diseased ocular surface asthe theoretical ocular surface, and apply the modified error assessment method to assess theprofile error for ocular surface, present the evaluation index of patients’ condition based onthe profile error and eyeball displacement error.Finally, we design and implement the experimental system with the reconstruction andassessment functions, validate the feasibility of the proposed method by conducting theexperiments of3D eye contour reconstruction and error assessment for the patients.
