Study On Influence Of Qian Yang Yu Yin Granules On Blood Pressure Variability Of The Patients With Hypertension

Purpose:To evaluate the smooth hypotensive effect of Qian Yang Yu Yin Granules by monitoring the short-time variability of blood pressure in an ambulatory way within24hours before and after taking the Granules. The aim of this research is to offer relevant reference for using traditional Chinese medicine to bring down blood pressure in clinical treatment of Hypertension.Method:Forty patients clinically diagnosed with Hypertension by Outpatient Department of Cardiology of Jiangsu Province Hospital of TCM were selected in this study and randomly divided into treatment and control groups (n=20). The basic treatments, such as drying out, quitting smoking, light diet, physical exercise, etc, were applied to treatment and control groups by same criterion, and symptomatic treatment was given when hyperlipidemia was merged. Felodipine and enalapril were utilized in both treatment and control groups to reduce blood pressure as the same basic combination therapy program, and furthermore, the treatment group received oral Qian Yang Yu Yin Granules (The prescription of Qian Yang Yu Yin Granules capsule is consist of the effective components of fructus corni, polygonum multiform, rhizoma alismatis, radix achyranthis bidentatae, scrophularia ningpoensis and sticktight). The24-hour ambulatory blood pressure (ABPM) monitoring and traditional Chinese medicine syndrome of both groups were evaluated and analyzed after medicine were taken within8weeks.Result:1. Except for24-hour diastolic blood pressure variability (24hDSD)(P>0.05),24-hour systolic blood pressure variability (24hSSD), daytime systolic blood pressure variability (dSSD), daytime diastolic blood pressure variability (dDSD), nighttime systolic blood pressure variability (nSSD), and nighttime diastolic blood pressure variability (nDSD) of treatment group were significantly lower compared to control group (P<0.05).2. In contrast to control group,24-hour average diastolic blood pressure (24hDBP),24-hour average systolic blood pressure (24hSBP), daytime average diastolic blood pressure (dDBP), daytime average systolic blood pressure (dSBP), nighttime average diastolic blood pressure (nDBP) and nighttime average systolic blood pressure (nSBP) of the treatment group using Qian Yang Yu Yin Granules all reduced (P<0.01).3. The clinical symptoms of treatment group had obvious remission and traditional Chinese medicine syndrome of treatment group was significantly lower compared to control group and is thus statistically significant (P<0.01).Conclusion:Qian Yang Yu Yin Granules can relieve the clinical symptoms and reduce the variability of blood pressure in treating Hypertension on the basis of utilizing Felodipine and Enalapril to reduce blood pressure to standard level.
