Changes In Brain Edema And Expression Of C-Fos/c-Jun After Diffuse Brain Injury In Rats

ObjectiveTo study the alteration of c-Fos and c-Jun intervals in the diffuse braininjury (DBI) and investigate its relation to the injury intervals.MethodsBased on Marmou,s model of DBI and took the samples at30min,1h,3h,6h,12h,1d,3d,7d after the brain injury. C-Fos and c-Jun weredetected by immunohisto-chemical staining in combination with imaginganalysis.ResultsThe water content of injuryed brain tissuses increased1hour post-injury,peaked24hours post-injury, then decreased. At1hour post-trauma, asignificant increase in c-Fos and c-Jun postive cells was obsered. Theexpression level of c-Fos peaked at3h,then decreased lately,and the secondpeak time was the3d post-trauma. The c-fun peaked at6h and3d,which wasfollowed by a gradual decline and7d was the lowest,but still higher than that inthe control group.ConclusionThe regularity of brain edema and the expression of c-Fos/c-Jun afterinjury is different.
