Purpose: Under the guidance of the blood theory, to observe heat purging fire, invigorate the circulation flux pulse method for the clinical curative effect of hypertensioncarotid atherosclerosis, intervention of high blood pressure and slow carotid atherosclerosis, stroke prevention, and provide theoretical basis for prevention of vascular disease. Methods: Selected103patients with hypertension carotid atherosclerosis hot card, dividedinto two groups. Control group51cases,taking ammonia chloride to chlorine and (or) sandjotham hydrochlorothiazide tablets, aspirin and simvastatin; Treatment group52cases, onthe basis of the control group of western medicine plus clothing heat purging fire, invigorate the circulation flux pulse, treatment for6months. Test before and aftertreatment the patients with carotid artery IMT, plaque area, ultrasonic score, syndromescurative effect and blood flat. Results: Two groups of traditional Chinese medicinesyndrome has improved, the treatment group was significantly better than controlgroup(P<0.05). Blood pressure and carotid IMT, plaque area and Crouse integral thanbefore treatment significantly reduced(P<0.01). TC, TG, LDL-C decreased significantly(P<0.01), the treatment group TC, LDL-C was statistically significant(P<0.05),HDL-C treatment group improved significantly(P<0.05), control group improved nostatistical difference(P>0.05). Conclusion: Heat purging fire, invigorate the circulationflux pulse method with western medicine therapy can effectively improve clinicalsymptoms, reduce the carotid IMT, plaque area, slow process of carotid atherosclerosis.
