ObjectiveBy stellate ganglion block(stellate ganglion block SGB) jointingwith conventional therapy(electrical acupuncture and drug) and conven-tional therapy alone, respectively, the treatment of acute facial paralysis, c-ontrasted the curative effect of two methods and observed the effect ofstellate ganglion block in the treatment of acute facial paralysis. Exploredthe SGB clinical application in treatment of acute facial paralysis.MethodsDouble-blind, randomized, controlled method was used to designscheme, according to the case inclusion criteria,74cases of acute facialparalysis patients were chose, which were divided into treatment groupand control group, there were37cases in each group. Treatment was togive the stellate ganglion block treatment group and regular treatment, thecontrol group given conventional treatment only. Two groups both weretreatment for four weeks. In the fourth week, we used facial nerve functional rating scale to assess the two groups of patients with facialnerve function, statisticed the facial nerve function score values, overallscores and the excellent and paired observation the treatment effect of thetwo groups.ResultsThe clinical symptoms of patients in the two groups was improved, after treatment for4weeks, and facial nerve function score of two groupswas more incremental than that of prior treatment (P<0.05). But facialnerve function score of treatment group was better than the control group(P<0.05). Difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). The excellentof treatment group was70.27%and the excellent of control group was40.54%.ConclusionsBoth stellate ganglion block combining with conventional therapyand separate conventional therapy treatment of acute facial nerveinflammation had therapeutic effect, but the former treatment effect wasbetter than the latter, which may improve the efficacy and shorten courseof treatment. Therefore, SGB was condidered an effective treatment forfacial paralysis. Especially combineding with conventional therapy, curative effect was more significant.
