Objective:To investigate the clinical therapeutic and preventiveeffectiveness on hypertrophic scar, keloid in children by intralesionalinjecting with glucocorticoid (Triamcinolone acetonide acetate, TAA).Methods:36children with hypertrophic scar and keloid wereintralesional injected with small doses Triamcinolone acetonide acetate.Observed the clinical effectiveness, complications and cases’ growth, thenanalyzed, evaluated and summarized. Results:Hypertrophic scar with intralesional injecting can get goodefficacy, the effective rate was100%, as well as the postoperativelypreventive intralesional injection. The effectiveness of direct intralesionalinjection on keloid was poor, but keloid resection combined withpostoperative intralesional injection was obviously improved.6monthsafter complete intralesional injection, children’s growth (weight, headcircumference and chest circumference) was not influenced.3casesappeared local fatty atrophy, which can recover normally after stoppingintralesional injection3to6months, and no other serious complications were observed except pain. Conclusions:Among the various treatments and prophylaxis forhypertrophic scar and keloid, multiple intralesional injection with smalldoses Triamcinolone acetonide acetate was effectiveness and safety inpediatric population.
