Alcoholic hepatic injury is caused by the toxicity of long-term drinking. It attracts more and more attention in recent years.Increasing studies have shown that a variety of bioactive ingredients in tea possessed protective effect on alc-oholic liver damage. In present study, the protective effect on alcoholic liver da-mage was evaluated with6types tea as follows:Xinyanghong,Baihaoyinzhe n,Junshanyinzhen,Dahongpao,Fuzhuan and Xinyangmaojian. And the possible underlying mechanism was explored. The study aims to provide a reliable t heoretical basis for the domain of protecting liver for tea.The results showed that Dahongpao Tea extract fed at different time is ab-le to protect mice from Alcohol-induced Acute Liver Injury in different degree. Fed2hours before drinking is of best protective effect, and fed while drinking is the second,Howervr, the effect of fed2hours after drinking is not so signi-ficantly.The content of effective components from different tea types such as wat-er, water extract, tea polyphenols and so on were assayed,The results showed that the ingredient of tea extracts was different according to the processing, raw m-aterials and picking standards. The results revealed that different tea extracts h ave the ability to reduce contents of aspartate aminotransferase(AST),alanine am ino transferase(ALT),total cholesterol(TC),triglyceride(TG),low density lipoprotein cholesteroll(LDL-C), methane dicarboxylic aldehyde(MDA)and the liver coeffici ent,and they can stop the exhaustion of super oxygen dehydrogenises(SOD),high density lipoptotein cholesterol(HDL-C),total sulfhydryl group and the body w-eight of mice.Histological analysis showed that the hepatic steatosis degrees were attenuated obviously after fed with tea extracts.Different tea extracts pos-sess the function of regulating lipid metabolism and inflammation, and can effec tively inhibit lipid peroxidation and adjust the level of inflammatory factors. The tea extracts can increase the mRNA expression of PPAR-a,and decrease the m RNA expression of TNF-α and IL-1β obviously. In a word, different tea extracts have good protection results.
