PurposeThe purpose of this study is to retrospectively analysis of clinical observation of absorbable internal fixation and nomar materials cure ankle fracture with distal tibiofibular junctures injure.Methods:1Cases:Screening cases which use of absorbable screws or metal screws tibiofibular syndesmosis injury patients in the surgical treatment of ankle fractures combined from2010to2012in the Affiliated Hospital of Chengdu University of TCM and the Foot and ankle trauma of Orthopaedic Hospital of Sichuan, According to the diagnostic to select patients with a total of62cases,39males and23females. Follow-up with complete data.2groups:each groups with absorbable screw tibiofibular syndesmosis31cases, metal screws tibiofibular syndesmosis31cases. Rehabilitation of postoperative carried out strictly in accordance with the clinical requirements, Complete efficacy evaluation data collection.3observation content:utilizations AOFAS ankle score system, Observed fracture healing time, postoperative ankle dorsiflexion range, postoperative ambulation time, complications, and overall excellent rate and other indicators, all patients were followed up for12months to16months an average of14.8months.Results(1) Absorbable group metal group in fracture healing time, postoperative ambulation time difference was not statistically significant (P>0.05), while the in ankle dorsiflexion degree difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). Can absorb the efficacy of the group to improve the above metal group.(2) Absorbable group in soft tissue infections, postoperative complications such as nonunion better than metal group, the difference was statistically significant (P>0.05), Absorption group postoperative complication rate is lower than the metal group.(3) using the AOFAS (American Podiatric ankle Association) ankle and hind foot function score, Using T test rating analyzs results on the two sets of data, Statistics showed that two groups of ankle fractures with inferior tibiofibular joint damage effect statistically significant differences(P<0.05)Conclution:For ankle fracture with tibiofibular syndesmosis injury, Absorbable screw has obvious advantages for metal screw, The absorbable screw can be effective fixation of the fracture, Biocompatibility, Allowing local small fracture to avoiding the second surgery, Despite the difference in tension, the possibility of foreign body reaction, But it represents an the same set trends, has a wide range of development and application of future.
